Description

This small book is one of the NASEN “Spotlight on Educational needs’ series. It is concerned with language and communication difficulties in children and young people and is written in a clear and readable style. It results from a collaborative writing activity between a teacher, an educational psychologist and a speech and language therapist.

The authors Bob Daines Pam Fleming and Carol Miller recommend collaborative approaches by which different views can be brought together to provide a broad perspective. The book will be helpful to teachers, classroom assistants, school governors and parents.

Having discussed the nature of language and communication difficulties, the authors go on to outline some classroom strategies.
