Description

This laminated card strip has circle representations of the numbers 1-10 with the associated numbers on one side, and  ten blank circles on the other. The quantities are organised into two colour coded groups of five. The aim of the material is to develop the recognition of number quantities up to ten, without needing to count one by one.

It also helps to associate an abstract squiggle, or written number, to that quantity.

Many very young children can count to ten efficiently without any real understanding of the quantity represented by the number 1,2,3 etc.  These number strips, used in a game , help develop their identification of number quantity.
