Research shows that children tend to regress during the summer holidays. Keep your child’s skills sharp by using fun games and activities in reading, handwriting, spelling and maths.

Encourage your child to read every day and read to them too. Why not get your child to keep a summer holiday  daily journal to keep their writing and spelling skills alive. Include pictures, photos, transport tickets, brochures, entry tickets, and their own drawings. Hopefully they will go back to school able to spell the days of the week correctly.
