This publication is a result of collaboration between Mike Ollerton, Simon Gregg and Helen Williams. The ideas arose from a workshop exploring the use of Cuisenaire with learners from early years to adult.

This book develops the tasks discussed  in the workshop, starting from Early Years. Suggestions for starting points with Cuisenaire rods begin this book. Following this, ideas focus on specific themes such as Counting, Sequences, Patterns and Algenbraic Reasoning, Fractions, Ratio and Proportion, Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication and Division, and finally problems that help learners to see the interconnectedness of mathematics.
