This short course has been designed for parents of dyslexic pupils at the Primary level. The aim is to help them to understand the nature of their child’s difficulties and to provide appropriate practical support at home for reading, writing, spelling and basic maths. Resources can be viewed and/or purchased during the course .

Session 1: The nature of the difficulties – language development
Session 2 The development of reading - techniques to support this skill
Session 3: The development of spelling – strategies to support this skill
Session 4: The development of handwriting/writing skills – supporting the skill
Session 5: Organisation and memory strategies
Session 6: The development of numeracy concepts – supporting their understanding
