Partners in Education's conference will be held at the South Mimms Premier Inn Conference Centre, on Friday September 26th 2008. It will focus on 'Updating your Assessment Skills and 'Toolbox'. Margaret Bevan and Valerie Hammond have designed this conference in response to the many requests from ex-students and colleagues. Assessing in the field of SpLD can be a lonely task,therefore, hearing about new assessments, sharing profiles, problem cases, new ideas and networking will be the order of the day! This is a full day conference with a hot lunch and the cost will be 85.00. The conference places are limited to 65 - an application form is on-line. Transport would be by car - the centre is next to the South Mimms Service Station, Junction 23 on the M25, or it is a 5 minute taxi - ride from Potters Bar station, generally costing 5.00. Potters Bar is 20 mins from Kings Cross.
